                        Dear GFWC Club Leaders and Members,

                            This is your personal invitation to attend the 2008 GFWC Western States Region Conference to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada

                        (Texas Station 1-800-851-1703) from September 26th through September 28th, 2008.  It will not only be your opportunity to enjoy

                        friends, gain new friends, and meet GFWC Officers, but also to gain knowledge on the latest GFWC Website developments.

                            Work Sessions that you will not want to miss are: Creating Membership Tools from the Website; Parliamentary and Protocol Do's

                        and Don'ts; Fundraising; Financial Issues; Reporting; and Department Programs & Projects Updates.  Topics covered during the regular

                        Conference schedule will be on Membership, Leadership, Communications, PR, and Strategic Planning.

                            There will be a Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Luncheon on Saturday with a speaker covering Teenage and Children's

                        Issues.  The optional color for Saturday will be purple.  On Sunday morning a speaker will be provided by Eli Lilly & Co. who will cover

                        the latest information on breast cancer risk factors, "Strength in Knowing".
