About Us: Last year we sponsored the library at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School in Oregon City, donated to the Oregon City Police summer camp program for at-risk youth, supported our local Willamette Falls Symphony, purchased vouchers for shoes for underprivileged children, donated to HOPE (Helping Other People Eat), to the Clackamas County Canine Services, to Fill a Stocking, Fill a Heart, and to the Oregon City Elks food baskets.
Three new members were initiated last year, bringing our membership total to 29. Members are active not only in the club, but serve the community in a number of ways with their volunteer efforts. We are honored to have one member who is 103!
Donations and civic improvement projects include or have included: Clackamas Women's Crisis Center, Ronald McDonald House, Environmental Learning Center Fish Rearing, Eye exams and glasses for needy children, Shoes for needy children, Veterans Hospital, Cancer Fund, Easter and Christmas Seals, Scleroderma Funds, Doernbecher Children's Hospital, Oregon City High School Athletic Fund, Clackamas Community College Family Resource Center, Park benches, Adoption of school classrooms, HOPE (Helping Other People Eat), and Fill a Stocking, Fill a Heart.
Historical Overview: The club was organized in 1903 to promote the Lewis and Clark Exposition. When the project was completed, the club changed its name to the Oregon City Woman's Club. During the 1998-2001 period, the club helped raise funds for the Education Center of Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City.
